This beautiful sculpture made by Wei Ho and produced by Yamato Toys shows the splendor of Medusa, daughter of Phorcys and mother of Pegasus (well, not intentionally, according to the myth), holding the head of a petrified victim in a time before meeting her fate at the hands of the hero Perseus.
The statue is made of poly-resin and it’s quite heavy, reaching 15 inches from the foot to the top of the head.
Fear and sensuality make a compelling blend in the reign of horror, and I think Medusa here is the epitome of such merge.
There’s no need to add words, you can appreciate the magnificence of this work, a beloved item in my collection.
