A couple of weeks ago I visited an abandoned mental hospital located just north of the Skagit River, not too far from where the events described in Unhuman took place. I will post pictures of that dark, creepy place very soon, but for now I’d like to show you a few images of what I saw during my recent trip to Nevada.
Meet Rhyolite, an abandoned mining town located 120 miles north-west of Vegas. The place is in the middle of the desert in an area full of rattlesnakes. From what I’ve read, this town was alive only for twelve years while the business was profitable; after that, it began its decay into what you are about to see.
